Montsant natural park is a massive rocky mountain range of about 135 sqm. Despite its dry impressive rocky walls on its southern face, it hides inside cool hidden spots and little river of permanent crystal water.

This holy mountain (mont – sant) was well known in ancient times by hermits and religious people looking for a contemplative life in true contact with nature and god. Therefore, it draw the construction of several hermits and the big carthusian monastery of Scaladei, that ruled the region from the XIIth to the XIXth century.

Walking the old trails up to Montsant mountain range you will be able to enjoy the spectacular views over the Priorat and feel the mysticism that has captivated so many hermits over the centuries.
